Okay...Here's my confession...

We bought a Snuggie for a CC prize (Zebra Print, of course).

I got cold at the Baseball field one night.

I remembered the Snuggie was in my car.

These word's echoed in my ear:

"Blankets are OK but they can slip and slide, plus your hands are trapped inside"

AS SEEN ON TV...

I needed my hands free to hold my 6 month old. 

Would this be stealing?  I contemplated it for a while. 

No, I told myself.  I had plenty of time to buy a replacement for CC.

 I GAVE IN TO TEMPTATION.

I went to the car and tore open the box.

 I returned to the stands a

 PROUD OWNER OF A SNUGGIE...a ZEBRA PRINT SNUGGIE!  

(Truth be known, I may not have been as tempted to "steal" the snuggie had it not had zebra stripes)...

What A Great Night!!!

Ladies! What a great night!! God is so good! This month, I asked you to taste and see if was a difference between a boxed Angel Food Cake mix and the Old Fashioned, made from scratch version. Out of the 165 attendants, I had 17 very brave women cast their votes...were the majority of you scared? With a 5/ 12 vote, the Old Fashioned cake won! I am not surprised at the results, I too, enjoyed the flavor and texture of the homemade cake. I guess that it is true that you really can't beat a homemade "masterpiece". That said, don't think that everything that comes from my "test kitchen" is from scratch, slaved over for hours, or even "box-free". I do believe in "doctoring up" recipes and giving them more defined flavors and textures. Let's just say that experimenting is a pretty common practice with good and bad results. There are explosions, smoke alarm "test sessions", and some rather tasty creations that do come forward from my exertions. I hope, whether you vote box or homemade, that you will try one of the recipes this month. Just know that you can substitute the extracts with others that you may enjoy better. Personally, almond isn't one of my top picks...lemon, orange, or even strawberry with the fresh complimenting fruit...hmmm...I think I smell a new cake a cookin'! Til' we meet again!

Confection Connection 2010 {Sisters: Sole to Soul} is off to a great start! What an evening! More ladies came than we expected but we were so, so delighted to have each and every one of them there! We thank all of you for being so patient and understanding as we scrambled to bring in more chairs. We know how cramped you were and are working to figure out a plan for next month. So, don't worry! It won't always be like that!

Many thanks also to Tracee Smoak for bringing us such a wonderful message. God used her to bless us all and for that we give Him the glory.
